I loved my Galaxy S9, which finally got old and was time to retire. But I'm totally satisfied with my S20 5G. I was pretty committed to staying with Samsung, and pretty strongly pulled towards the Galaxy line. After a lot of research, comparing features, etc. I concluded that I didn't want a newer S21 or S22, since they have eliminated the additional microSD storage option and the 256 GB version was still too expensive (even if refurbished, like the S20 I bought). Likewise, the S23 was just WAY to expensive--full stop.I liked the fact I could get 128 GB of internal storage but still add 128, 256, or even 512Gb if I wanted to. Right now 128 GB additional is fine.I also like the 12GB of RAM. Between that and the 5G capability, this phone has had none of the lags and delays that my old phone was experiencing.Another thing I like is the size. I have an S20 FE for my work phone and it's just too big for me. I don't need a huge screen, so I want something that will easily fit in my pocket. Also, now that the fingerprint recognition has moved to the front screen, it's so much easier to get into all my apps and websites. I never much liked the little tiny scanner mounted on the back of the S9. Way too awkward and didn't always work very well. This one is quick and easy.A great thing about Samsung is the Smart Switch app. This has to be the easiest switch over to a new phone that I've ever had. You just install it on both phones, set up the connection, and walk away for a couple of hours and, voila! I don't think there was a single thing missing on the new phone. Two thumbs up for Samsung Galaxy S20 5G!
